Come for the adventure. Invest in a lifetime.

Lillooet serves a surrounding area population of approximately 5,000 and focuses on progressive principles of smart and sustainable growth. It encourages development where infrastructure services are already supplied and where property is available for infill and redevelopment.

The community plan designates “special” outlying areas for potential industrial and residential development – 500 hectares at the airport and more than 80 hectares in other locations. Over 1200 hectares of farmland are available for viticulture as well as a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and forage crops. Homes and properties are modestly priced.

The community is located at the junction of Highway 99 North, Highway 12 and Highway 40. It is served by CN Rail’s freight service connecting with other carriers in Prince George to the north and Vancouver to the south. The airport is equipped with a paved airstrip for private planes, modern commercial jets and turbo-prop aircraft up to 18,100 kilograms/40,000 pounds.

Opportunities to develop vineyards, a wine industry, a destination resort/golf course, an eco-lodge and comprehensive adventure packages exist. There are additional openings in the retail trade and service sectors. The Lillooet area is rich in aboriginal culture and history and the local St’at’imc people are moving forward in cultural tourism initiatives.
